A message from Carol Phillips, associate dean, School of Community Services:

Please join me in welcoming Kelly-Ann Wilcox, Erin Wilkie and Debbie-ann Fender to the School of Community Services.

Kelly-Ann Wilcox

Erin Wilkie

Erin Wilkie has arrived at Niagara College from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Centre where she was a therapeutic recreation specialist providing  services to children with diverse needs, supervising clinical internships and a professional practice lead. Her Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Dalhousie University, bodes well for her new faculty position in the Recreation and Leisure and Recreation Therapy programs. As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and a Registered Member of Therapeutic Recreation Ontario, Erin is a strong advocate of the Therapeutic Recreation profession.

Debbie-ann Fender

Debbie-ann Fender is a recent graduate of the Recreation Therapy programs and we are excited to have her transition into the role of part-time field placement officer for the Recreation and Leisure and Recreation Therapy programs. In addition to her diploma, she also possesses a Bachelor of Laws from University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica. While she was a student at Niagara College, Debbie-ann was awarded the Parks and Recreation Ontario Hugh Clydesdale Award as a promising female parks and recreation student or practitioner. Currently she is working as a recreation facility supervisor with the City of Brantford Parks and Recreation Department, and has worked on campus in the Co-op and Graduate Employment Services Office and Information Technology Services.
