NC’s vice president of student external relations Sean Kennedy has made tonight’s fourth annual Niagara Hoops Classic a little more interesting – entering into a wager with Brock’s vice president of finance and administration that puts both pride and cash on the line.
For the fourth time, the NC Knights and Brock Badgers men’s and women’s basketball teams will tip off tonight for the United Way. If Brock wins both games, Kennedy will be forced to don a Brock jersey for a day at work and donate $100 to the United Way. If NC wins both games, Hutchings will do the same. If the games are split, Hutchings and Kennedy will each contribute $100 to the United Way.
“I’ve got great confidence in our men’s and women’s teams, and I look forward to seeing Mr. Hutchings sporting our jersey at Brock University,” said Kennedy. “But regardless of the result, it’s the United Way that will be the clear winner when the final buzzer sounds. We’re grateful to our partners at Brock for joining us in this very fun and worthwhile endeavor, and I look forward to seeing a great crowd from NC at the games tonight.”
Full details on tonight’s game, including ticket information, is available online.
