Alan Unwin, the College’s chair of the School of Environmental and Horticultural Studies, is happy to announce that Dena Gavin has accepted a full-time faculty position within the school effective August 13, 2012.
Dena is a graduate of the prestigious Niagara Parks School of Horticulture as well as a graduate of Niagara College’s Horticultural Technician program. Her extensive horticultural and landscape experience includes the Niagara Parks Commission where she worked as a certified gardener and, most recently, as proprietor and operator of GarDena Landscaping and Design. Dena has also been teaching as a Partial Load instructor within the school since 2009.
