REDress Day @ Brock University

Hosted by Hadiya’dagénhahs First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Centre, and the Office of the Vice-Provost, Indigenous Engagement, and in collaboration with Niagara College, this gathering on Friday, February 14, 2025 is part of the REDress Project, an initiative that began as an art installation by Métis artist Jaime Black at the University of Winnipeg in 2011.
The day will run from 9:30am until 1:00pm and will include drumming and song, a panel discussion, a catered lunch, and a jingle dress dance. Workshops will be held during the afternoon starting at 1:00pm and 2:30pm. Registration for these workshops are available as an add-on to your original ticket.
Registration is mandatory. Proof of registration is required.

Red dresses will be hung and on display at Brock University’s campuses and at Niagara College from Monday, February 10 to February 24 to remember the loss of thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit, lesbian, gay, trans, bisexual, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual (2SLGTBQQIA) people to colonial violence.
