June 18 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Location: Gymnasium @ Daniel J. Patterson Campus

Come together with IE for a social!

What is a social? Socials have long been a way for Indigenous peoples to come together and celebrate. Social dances such as the round dance, rabbit dance, old moccasin, are for the enjoyment of all people. Social songs can also be known as earth songs and are different from ceremonial dances, which are kept for the longhouse are are considered closed practice. Socials are open to anyone and everyone. We will spend some time outside singing and dancing. No worries if you don’t know the steps, we can teach you!
