New to NC

We are pleased to welcome you to our
Niagara College family!

Here at NC, we believe the dedication, enthusiasm and passion of our employees are what truly make our College stand apart. We are committed to creating a dynamic and engaged workplace that offers valuable opportunities for personal and professional development. As you embark on this journey as a new employee, we encourage you to immerse yourself in our unique culture by connecting with colleagues, participating in employee events and exploring our campuses for exciting ways to get involved at NC.

As part of your orientation to Niagara College, you will be invited to attend one of our New Employee Orientation sessions held throughout the year. This session will give you a chance to connect with other new employees, as well as leaders and executive members of the College. This one-day orientation fosters a sense of community for our staff and faculty and provides a fulsome overview of how the College supports our employees. We look forward to connecting with you at this event in the future!

Our formal onboarding process will assist you in the adjustment to your new role at Niagara College. Keep yourself updated via the Onboarding section below for more information on this process, as well as helpful tools and checklists to track your progress.

Onboarding

New Employee Onboarding

The New Employee Onboarding Framework is supported by the Centre for Organizational Excellence (COE). This framework is designed to provide new employees with relevant, innovative, and engaging tools to build and reinforce Niagara College’s culture, vision, and values. Our goal is to provide the right tools at the right time, that will improve onboarding for new employees and managers/departments across the College. If you have questions regarding your onboarding please reach out to your Supervisor or the Centre for Organizational Excellence.

New Employee Orientation

New Employee Orientation happens three times a year to introduce new employees to Niagara College and the numerous resources that are available to them.

This orientation is a time to connect new employees with leaders and executive members of Niagara College and fosters a sense of community within our staff.
