Pursuing a Postsecondary Credential

Full Time employees can apply for tuition assistance if they are pursuing a postsecondary credential. For more information  please review the policy and visit the Centre for Organizational Excellence.

Taking Niagara College Courses
Faculty

See Collective Agreement Article 12 – Tuition Subsidy:

12.01 An employee in the bargaining unit may take, for a tuition fee of not more than $20.00 per course, on the employee’s own time,

  1. Ministry funded programs or courses; or,
  2. other programs or courses as are mutually agreed,

which the College currently offers. The employee must meet the normal College entrance and admission requirements and is subject to academic policies after admission.

Support Staff

See Collective Agreement Article 9.4 – Tuition Fees:

An employee in the bargaining unit may take, for a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) per course plus the cost of required course materials, on the employee’s own time:

  1. approved programs or courses, with regulated tuition fees; or,
  2. other courses or programs as are mutually agreed,

which the College currently offers. The employee must meet the College entrance and admission requirements and is subject to academic policies.

Administrative Staff

A full time Administrative Employee can take, for a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) per course plus the cost of required course materials, on the employee’s own time:

  1. approved programs or courses, with regulated tuition fees; or,
  2. other courses or programs as are mutually agreed,

which the College currently offers. The employee must meet the College entrance and admission requirements and is subject to academic policies

For Dependent Children

Full-time employees may be eligible for the Tuition Subsidy when their dependent children attend Niagara College. For more information please review the policy. To access the Tuition Subsidy for Dependent Children:

  1. Log in to MyNC.
  2. Click More Applications.
  3. Expand the All section and click My Tuition Subsidy (apps are listed in alphabetical order).
  4. You should be logged into the system automatically. If not, enter your username and password when prompted.
  5. Choose I am a Full-Time Employee and would like to complete the form online.
