Did you know that you can take action to protect your bike from theft?

Register your bike with the Niagara Region Police Services (NRPS) through their 529 Garage program.

In the unfortunate event that your bike is stolen, registering it in advance can assist police with returning your bike to you if its recovered.

The NRPS will be on campus in April for bicycle registrations.

Tuesday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus – outside of the Security/Information Office.

Thursday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Welland Campus – near the Cafeteria.

Please bring the serial number of your bike, a photo, and information about it including any identifiers (make, model, colour, size) or aftermarket additions. Please also bring a device (phone or laptop) to complete the registration, and the purchase receipt if you have it.

Those who register will be provided with a 529 tamperproof shield with a unique code that lets thieves know your bike is registered.
