Living Library: Asian Heritage Month – A conversation with Jolie Phuong Hoang

May 18, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

ncLibraries and Learning Commons is hosting a conversation and Q&A with NC Math Professor and author Jolie Phuong Hoang on May 18 from 1-3 p.m. via Zoom.
Hoang will be discussing her debut multiple award-winning creative nonfiction, Anchorless (2019), and her most recent nonfiction, Three Funerals for My Father: Love, Loss and Escape from Vietnam. The books tell Hoang’s personal story about her family’s escape from Vietnam in the 1980s and are available for loan from ncLibraries. Those who attend the event will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a copy of each title.
All are welcome to register for this Living Library Event, held in honour of Asian Heritage Month. The conversation will be moderated by Professor Alexander McGlashan from NC’s School of Technology.
