International Day of Pink

April 9 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeDay of Pink is recognized globally as a day to stand in solidarity and allyship with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities against homophobic hate and violence. We invite NC students and employees to wear pink on Wednesday to show their support for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
This year’s theme of Re-emergence marks significant milestones in 2SLGBTQIA+ history, honouring the anniversaries of key events that have shaped the community and the fight for equality. This year is the 35th anniversary of the term Two-Spirit and the LGBT purge.
Join Indigenous Education and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Teams from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at both campuses (locations below) for colouring and a chance to win an International Day of Pink t-shirt.
DJP-NOTL Campus: In front of the Indigenous Education Centre Welland Campus: In Applied Health Foyer.
All are welcome!
