Building Allyship: Engaging Men and Boys in GBV Prevention
December 4 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
To commemorate National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, please join us for a hybrid event.
This one-hour workshop facilitated by Zoey James, Senior Program Manager of White Ribbon, is designed to foster understanding about the root causes of gender-based violence (gender norms and expectations) and ways individuals can prevent it.
This workshop explores the history and work of White Ribbon and introduces approaches to building allyship: understanding emotions, healthy masculinities, identifying one’s power and privilege, consent, ways to intervene when violence occurs, and how to be a positive role model to youth/adults.
