Being Mindful in Nature: Welland Campus

Join NC Sustainability’s Katie Bristow for a walk around campus focusing on being present with nature. Studies have shown that being connected to nature and spending time outdoors can improve mood and decrease stress levels.

Get outside and see the Welland Campus and mindfully experience nature. Despite being in an urban setting, the Welland Campus is home to a great diversity of species and you will have the opportunity learn about biodiversity that you can experience, even in your own backyard! On this walk, you’ll visit campus features such as the Indigenous gardens, naturalized berms and learn about the campus as a “Green Lung!”

Meeting point: Participants will meet outside the Indigenous Lounge (L201) on the ground floor.

This event is open to all students and employees.
