Leadership Development

At Niagara College, leadership isn’t just a title, it’s something you build through experience, connection, and community. Student Engagement offers a variety of ways for students to develop their confidence, skills, and voice throughout their time at NC. Whether you’re looking to get involved, grow as a leader, or make a meaningful impact, there’s an opportunity for you.

  • Volunteer On and Off Campus

Give back, gain experience, and make a difference. From orientation events to local community initiatives, volunteering is a powerful way to build teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while expanding your network. All volunteer opportunities are posted through NC Engage.

  • Become a Transition Peer

Support new students as they navigate their transition to NC. Transition Peers are trained student leaders who help others feel welcome, connected, and informed.

  • Attend Leadership Workshops & Events

Join us throughout the year for interactive programming, such as workshops and guest speakers, that focuses on developing leadership abilities. These sessions help you grow personally and professionally while connecting with other aspiring student leaders. Keep checking NC Engage for up-to-date programming.

  • Work-Integrated Learning

NC-TRAC as well as other Student Engagement programming creates opportunities for students to complete co-ops, internships, and placement opportunities that may be a requirement for their academic programs.

  • Work With Us!

Student staff positions are an opportunity to gain hands-on leadership through directly contributing to Student Engagement programming. All available positions will be posted on the MyCareer portal.
