You will learn the various processes used in the production and use of iron and steel as it relates to the fabrication and welding industry. Identification of the various steels and industry recognized classifications will be discussed along with the mechanical and physical properties. Distortion control and correction methods will be studied in conjunction with jigs and fixturing devices.
