Description:

Students will build on the knowledge and practical skills previously obtained, with an emphasis on the overhead position. Upon successful completion, students should be able to weld with the SMAW process in all positions using various consumables and successfully challenge the CSA W47.1 welder performance qualification test in all positions. Students will also investigate the welding of aluminum, stainless steel, grey cast iron, and hardfacing using the SMAW process.
