Description:

Students will build on the knowledge and practical skills previously obtained with the emphasis on the overhead position. Upon successful completion, students should be capable of welding with the SMAW process in all positions with various consumables and be able to successfully challenge the CSA W47.1 welder performance qualification test in all positions. Students will also investigate the welding of Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Grey Cast Iron and Hardfacing using the SMAW process.
