Description:

You will gain an understanding of the pertinent codes and standards applied in the welding and fabrication industry for regulated products that are designed, manufactured, inspected and tested to ensure compliance. The basic concepts and implementation of lean manufacturing will be introduced. Welding procedure and welding performance qualification will also be studied with emphasis on ASME Section IX, CSA W47.1 and CSA W59.

Prerequisites for this course

  • WELD1003 - Shielded Metal Arc Welding - Flat Applications AND
  • WELD1004 - Introduction to Semi-Automatic Welding Processes
