This practical based course will introduce the fundamental principles and processes of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in the horizontal and vertical positions. The theoretical part of the course will include the study of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) process fundamentals along with the history and the developments made in the SMAW process.
