To live responsibly and reach your potential as a citizen, this course will challenge you to develop your critical thinking and global perspectives. Specifically, you will attempt to situate technology and its global impacts within the context of social and environmental change by participating in a nuanced discussion of how technology is used both to the benefit and detriment of various cultures globally and the different environments in which they are situated. As part of this course, you will research and identify a pressing social, environmental, or economic issue that may benefit from an innovative solution and consider that challenge through a lens of local and global cultural awareness.
