Description:

This course provides the basic financial literacy a sport manager needs to operate effectively. Foundational financial principles and concepts will be learned and demonstrated in how they are applied in real-world sport management settings. Students will examine financial strategies and issues related to sport entities and organizations including basic accounting principles, budgets and budgeting systems, financial statement evaluation, funding for capital projects like new arenas and stadia and cash flow and profitability for sport facilities.
