Description:

This course introduces students to the theory and practice of life skills group work in social service settings. Students will explore group planning, facilitation, and evaluation using the life skills model while developing key competencies in empathy, self-awareness, and professional responsibility. Through experiential activities and group supervision, students will learn to support client growth and engagement in life skills programming. Students will be prepared to facilitate life skills groups with diverse populations across a range of social service contexts.
