Emphasizing strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and systems theories, students develop professional self-awareness, addressing challenges such as countertransference, value conflicts and barriers to empathy in casework relationships. Through reflective practice and group supervision, students enhance ethical decision-making, accountability, and professional communication consistent with OCSWSSW standards, fostering growth essential for effective social service practice.
