Description:

Students will be introduced to the various services at the micro, macro, and mezzo levels as they pertain to the special needs of children and families involved in the child welfare system, the aged, and those in conflict with the law in the youth and adult correctional system. Students will also examine the issue of sexual violence specifically. Students will be studying these systems and the people who are impacted by them through psychological and sociological perspectives and an anti-oppressive lens.
