This course is a continuation of Methods I (Group Work). It combines an in-depth analysis of strength-based group dynamics, facilitation skills, and self-awareness. This course provides students with an overview of the concepts and principles relevant to therapeutic group work. This course focuses on the group process, such as the beginning, working, and closing stages. An experiential learning component of the course provides students with the opportunity to engage in group process both as group members and as facilitators. Feedback on students' involvement in the group process will be provided by the professor and through a peer-supervision model.
