This course provides in-depth preparation for Field Placement I (PRAC1202). Students will be given the opportunity to learn the basic functions of Social Service Workers and review the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Students will also receive an orientation in Personal Safety Issues, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Child Abuse.
