This course provides the social media marketing and public relations theory necessary to help clients customize their key messages and professionally engage with consumers. In this course, you will learn the components of successful social media marketing and branding campaigns and how to develop specific social media strategies as part of an organization's overall marketing plan. You will also learn to identify and analyze specific target markets and consumer trends. Basic public relations principles, tools, techniques and ethics will be introduced. The RACE formula and SWOT analysis will be used to create strategic communication materials suitable for online environments. Using real-world examples, the course will examine how companies use creative and impactful campaigns and influencers to stay relevant and achieve company objectives. This course will present a combination of focused case studies, interactive exercises and a final project to foster new insights and strategies.
