Description:

Are you prepared to live and work in Canada's diverse, globally connected society and workforce? This course will provide students with a toolbox to develop cultural competencies and inclusive practices, enabling them to recognize, value, and fully leverage diversity by being welcoming, fair, equitable, and respectful. Through experiential and active learning, students will explore topics such as Indigenous ways of knowing, allyship, culture, language, race, ethnicity, immigration, religion, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, family structures, and socio-economic status. Students will engage in reflective practice and develop strategies to create socially inclusive and equitable communities.
