In your opinion, what are the major social issues facing Canadians today? How have social issues changed over time? Would your list of issues be the same as a friend's list or your parents? Research indicates that these lists would vary considerably. Students will have the opportunity to examine issues such as, Housing and Food Insecurity, Employment, Media, Addictions, Mental Health and Wellness, Vulnerable Populations, Bullying, Suicide Awareness, Global Social Issues, Human Trafficking, and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. Students will also have the opportunity to explore community-based, provincial, and federal resources.
