The Be World Ready Course (BWR) will provide you with interactive opportunities to explore the world, inside and outside of the classroom. Learners will develop cultural humility by cultivating the ability to analyze the world through both global and local lenses, appreciating the complexities of intercultural communication, enhancing their ability to solve challenging problems, and recognizing the realities of the world and taking action to improve it. Learners will engage in pre-departure training, including cultural awareness and sensitivity training, community engagement, and global leadership, in preparation for Global Learning Experiences (GLE). Learners will be exposed to Indigenous perspectives and career development by exploring global competencies that will distinguish them as both work-ready and world-ready after returning from their experience abroad.
