Description:

In this course students will learn to apply effective techniques for preventing and resolving crisis, conflict and emergency situations. Students will learn how to conduct their duties in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Security awareness, crime prevention programs and security audit techniques will be examined. Students will learn to secure the environment to reduce the risk of harm, danger or loss in an incident scene and to develop and apply procedures for safe and effective evacuation in emergency situations. Student will have an opportunity to become certified in Basic Emergency Management through the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office.
