In this course you will critically examine how effective transportation, distribution and logistics management contributes to the attainment of organizational goals and is a strategic enabler in the attainment of an effective and efficient supply chain. You will examine the transportation function and how it is a vital part of supply chains and why it is a key economic concern for organizations today. You will gain a fundamental understanding of the interconnectedness of effective logistics, transportation and distribution systems and how these systems provide a more universal view of the supply chain and in doing so, empower companies to succeed.
