Description:

Students are introduced to the treatment of musculoskeletal pathologies that may present in a massage therapy practice. Students will integrate knowledge of theoretical components of massage therapy into the development of therapeutic massage. Students will discuss conditions common to headaches, orthopedic/postural/joint dysfunction, overuse injuries, and treatments specific to fascial restrictions. Recent theories on pain management and the role other common variables in treatment are discussed.
