In collaboration with professional teams in the workplace, you will assist learners with exceptionalities and individuals with developmental disabilities in maintaining or improving their overall functioning and quality of life. You will learn to apply both practical knowledge and demonstrate skills which assist individuals with supports of daily living. You will be introduced to an overview of mobility supports and healthy personal habits to create a safe and healthy work environment. You will also explore the roles of the Occupational Therapist (OT), Physiotherapist (PT), Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP), and your role in implementing goal plans under the direction of those professionals and in accordance with legislation, workplace policies and learner IEP's and/or individuals plans.
