This course is designed to introduce you to therapeutic recreation delivery across diverse health-care settings. You will examine the theories of recreation, leisure and play in Canada, and learn about their associated benefits. Furthermore, this course will provide you with the foundations of therapeutic recreation practice, including models of service, definitions and benefits of therapeutic recreation, the history and development of the profession and the nature of therapeutic recreation service.
