This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to promote inclusivity through active living and recreational activities. Students will learn how active living and recreational activities can be powerful tools to support individuals with exceptionalities in both school settings as well as adults in assisted living. From accessibility considerations to adapted exercise programs, inclusive nutrition practices, and wellness strategies, this course provides students with the tools required to foster inclusive communities where individuals with disabilities can lead active, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
