The provision of outcome-oriented programs in a variety of service delivery settings requires one to have knowledge, skills and abilities related to leadership and facilitation of therapeutic recreation programming. In this course you will have opportunities to acquire knowledge about and develop essential skills to be an effective front-line service provider in both 1:1 and group formats. An understanding of and practical application toward inclusion, adaptation, group dynamics, communication, motivation and safety will contribute to your ability to deliver quality therapeutic recreation programming and maximize recreation opportunities for all persons.
