Description:

With an aging population, therapeutic recreation professionals trained to effectively meet the needs of older adults are in high demand. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to understand the physical, emotional, and cognitive changes that often come with aging and to provide therapeutic recreation programs, supports, environments, and approaches that will best meet the needs of older adults across a variety of settings. An overview of demographics and services and supports related to older adults rounds out the learning in this course.
