Organizational psychology is the branch of psychology that is focused on issues affecting people within the workplace, and should benefit students who have an interest in better understanding the human side of organizations. This course uses a combination of lectures and interactive in-class exercises to illustrate research addressing the impact of psychological factors in the workplace. Topic areas to be covered include the impact of personality variables and emotions at work, group dynamics and teamwork, motivation, satisfaction and performance, communication and conflict, and leadership styles.
