Adolescence is regarded by developmental psychologists as one of the most variable periods of the human lifespan which encompasses many significant transition points. In this course, you will examine transformations in the biological, social, cognitive, intrapersonal, and emotional domains that occur during the second decade of life. You will cover pubertal development and timing, adolescent sexuality, peer relations, family relationships and the development of autonomy, moral and cognitive development, the formation of identity, schooling, work, and gender differences in response to the challenges of adolescence.
