Description:

In this course, you will care for persons requiring support with complex and co-morbid clinical conditions in a local healthcare setting or a setting focused on addressing health conditions from a global perspective. You will enhance your ability to develop therapeutic nurse-client relationships framed within the College of Nurses of Ontario's (CNO's) values of client well-being, client choice, privacy and confidentiality, respect for life, maintaining commitments, truthfulness, and fairness. Your healthcare experience will culminate in a capstone project. To complete the capstone project, you will use current research evidence and best practices to prepare an in-depth analysis of a healthcare organization's current problems, potential solutions, and an implementation plan. The solutions and implementation plan will consolidate the knowledge, skills, and judgement you have acquired throughout the program.

Prerequisites for this course

    • BSCN9700 - Leadership and Professional Practice AND
    • BSCN9730 - Caring for Persons with Complex Clinical Conditions AND
    • CLIN9715 - Clinical Practicum VI - Acute, Chronic, Mental Health, and/or Primary Health Care
