Description:

Upon successfully completing the Niagara Regional Police Service's background screening check, you will participate in the Ride Along program with the Niagara Regional Police Service. During this practicum, you will be teamed with a coach police officer and accompany the officer on his/her regular duties. You will complete a mandatory orientation meeting and a minimum of 40 hours consisting of day, afternoon, or night shifts on patrol with your coach officer . You may be required to work these shifts during a weekend. The sequencing of the Ride Along practicum and the Community Volunteer practicum may be reversed over the course of the program.
