Description:

This field placement is designed as an immersion into the field of child and youth care. You will gain experience in a setting with children/adolescents who seek the benefits of therapeutic relationships and positive solutions to life's challenges. You will spend a minimum of 275 hours interacting with youth under the supervision of a CYC professional. Supportive facilitative hours will encourage self-reflective practice, skill development, and growth in communication techniques and counselling theory and practice.
