Description:

This course introduces the role of the Social Service Worker within a community social service agency. Students will be matched to a community agency and attend there as scheduled to become familiar with the agency and the role of the social service worker. Students will begin to apply the skills and knowledge gained from previous and concurrent coursework through closely supervised engagement with the agency, its clients, and other stakeholders. Students will demonstrate professionalism consistent with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
