Description:

This 400-hour placement within Ontario EMS organizations will prepare you for entry into the Paramedic Profession and to meet the National Occupational Competencies required by the Paramedic Practitioner (NOCP) in Canada. Paramedic preceptors will evaluate your demonstration of primary care paramedic competencies while you are riding third person on the ambulance. You will demonstrate professionalism, practice effective communication skills, meet physical strength requirements and apply decision-making skills utilizing the knowledge and skills developed in the PCP to date.
