In this consolidation placement, you will have the opportunity to increase your independence while caring for people in both a Community Care setting and a Long Term Care setting. In the Community setting, you will support clients in maintaining or improving their health status and quality of life in a range of environments including, but not limited to, private homes, supportive housing and adult day-service sites. In the LTC setting, you will support clients who require the availability of 24-hour nursing care, supervision and high levels of personal care and support within a secure setting. You will also learn dignity-promoting strategies to manage clients' responsive behaviours during Gentle Persuasive Approach certification.
