During this course you will learn the subject of physics, the science about the basic rules that govern nature. You will learn the physics rules that underlie the principles of other more specific topics in mechanical and manufacturing technologies. You will become capable of applying the basic laws of mechanics and dynamics to solve basic problems. Electrostatics and electricity will be studied to provide you with the ability to apply and solve problems in these topics. You will understand and apply the principles of heat transfer and fluid dynamics to solve basic problems. You must succeed in this course as it will prepare you and provide the background necessary to be successful in subsequent program courses.
