Description:

This course covers applications of photonics to imaging as well as image processing. The student will review material about optical imaging and study film photography as well as digital photography, and computer vision. Image processing subject matter will include sampling theory, filtering, feature extraction and digitizing, Fourier transforms and noise in imaging systems. Display devices will be studied such as CRT, LCD, plasma, etc.
