In this course, you will discuss the operating principles of a selection of optoelectronic devices, including LEDs, photodiodes, photodetectors, and laser diodes. Topics will cover the application of driver circuits using operational amplifiers and power supplies for the regulation of optical components. You will design and construct opto-electronic circuits and characterize circuit and component behaviour during the lab component of the course.
