Description:

This course covers the fundamentals of manufacturing techniques and methods used to produce photonics components and systems, as well as the use of photonics devices and methods in manufacturing. Through lectures, labs, and assignments, the student is introduced to the production of optical devices. Advanced assembly techniques such as the use of adhesives, automation, optical testing and measurements, and additional instruction in quality control standards will be included.

  • PHTN1334 - Fibre Optic Applications
