Description:

The student will learn to work with fibre-optic systems and networks, including transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, and both active and passive optical devices. The student will be able to design and analyze fibre-optic networks and explain the appropriate technologies for different applications. The student will be able to perform the necessary calculations for the design of fibre-optic systems and will be able to troubleshoot defective systems.
